Affordable Lighting is looking for self-motivated, results-oriented individuals who can successfully expand the companyâ€™s wholesale business. This position presents the opportunity for extensive exposure to customers and thus require excellent communication, relationship building and sales skills as well as power supply product knowledge. This will be a B2B sales.
Our Outside Sales Manager are responsible for developing sales channels and directly driving sales results for Affordable Lighting. With knowledge of Affordable Lighting unique and diverse products and services, you will provide our current and future customers integrated solutions for a variety of requirements including lighting, building controls and other related products. Our market is the contractors, commercial sector, working across education, healthcare, auto dealerships, hospitality, and more.
You will report to the President of Affordable Lighting.
â€¢ Establish, grow and maintain relationships with key customers and end users to increase sales revenue.
â€¢ Conduct research to identify and qualify prospective clients, projects, and partners.
â€¢ Participate in one-on-one, phone and in-person sales meetings.
â€¢ Develop quotes, scopes of work, and pricing for clients.
â€¢ Maintain summary of selling activities including calendar, sales pipeline, account profile and day-to-day sales contact activities.
â€¢ Attain or exceed revenue targets and margin objectives.
â€¢ Maintain timely follow-ups on quotations, documenting wins and losses.
â€¢ Exhibit at and/or attend trade shows as required.
Competence/ Skill Sets:
â€¢ Solid knowledge of lighting solutions, automated building controls, and other energy solutions.
â€¢ Experience in the design and layout of lighting and energy management systems for commercial customers.
â€¢ Experience providing quotes and performing LED lighting takeoffs.
â€¢ Understanding of estimation and project scheduling.
â€¢ Ability to take project from concept to completion.
â€¢ Proven ability to manage sales processes.
Education & Minimum Experience
â€¢ Minimum of 2 years selling into or managing a North American territory of lighting or building control markets required
